Course Content

The Irish Heart Foundation CPR & AED training is ideal for any individual that would like to learn how do to CPR and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

This course includes CPR for adults, children & infants, use of an Automated External Defibrillator and choking.

This course will help participants recognise when they need to use CPR, how to use the correct technique when applying CPR and how to safely and effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

What you can expect

This CPR and AED course will teach you how to give CPR and operate an AED correctly, participants who demonstrate a high quality of CPR at the end of the course will be awarded their IHF/AHA Heartsaver CPR & AED course completion card. Please note this card is valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

Delivery

This blended course is delivered in person over 4 hours (90 minutes elearning 90 minutes in person), through video content led by instructor feedback and guidance through each lesson, manual practice takes place under the instruction of the trainer using a manikin.
