Course Content
The Hibernian Administration of Medicines course for Pharmacists is a comprehensive one-day program designed to equip pharmacists with essential medication administration techniques. This is a statutory training programme that allows a pharmacist to vaccinate patients over the age of 6 months. Pharmacists who wish to offer vaccination services must complete the PSI-approved training pathway. This includes holding current CPR certificates (for both adults and children) and Anaphylaxis training certificates, as well as completing a Medicines Administration course. Hibernian offers a program that allows pharmacists to fulfil all these training requirements. If their certifications are already up-to-date, they have the option to only complete the Medicines Administration course to meet their statutory obligations.
