This course is designed to teach the lay-rescuer the skills of basic first aid. It is ideally suited to organisations who wish to complement their accredited occupational first aiders with personnel qualified at a more basic level.
The participant will have the skills to provide the vital first response in an emergency
To instruct in the use of Automated External Defibrillators and Adult & Child CPR
The participant will have the skills to recognize and treat minor workplace injuries
The participant will understand the responsibilities of First Aiders & their function within Health & Safety Legislation

Personnel in the workplace; also very suitable for people working in the hospitality, leisure and retail industries where direct contact with the public is inevitable. The course is delivered in accordance with the Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) and the American Heart Association CPR and AED guidelines. An IHF certificate valid for 2 years will be issued on completion. A Hibernian Healthcare Basic First Aid certificate valid for 2 years will be issued on successful completion.
